The Meaning Behind NJC

NJC Janitorial is more than a cleaning company—it is a story of resilience, growth, and purpose.

“NJC” represents the foundation of our company: Nohemi, Jalen, and Contreras.

Although her legal name is Rosalba Nohemí De la Garza Contreras, our founder has been professionally known as Nohemi, a name that is approachable, easy to remember, and through which she has built trusted relationships throughout her career in the cleaning industry.

Each letter of NJC carries a special meaning:

• N for Nohemi, the woman behind the vision;
• J for Jalen, her greatest inspiration and motivation to keep growing;
• C for Contreras, the family name that represents her roots, hard work, and legacy.

NJC was built not only to provide professional cleaning solutions, but to create something much greater: a future, an opportunity, and a family legacy that can transcend generations.

Our Story

Founder Rosalba Nohemí De la Garza Contreras began her journey in the cleaning industry during one of the most difficult seasons of her life. As a single mother facing personal hardship and rebuilding her path, she made the decision to fight for a better future—for herself and, most importantly, for her son.

What began as a job quickly became a calling.

Through determination, discipline, and a willingness to learn, Rosalba entered the janitorial industry with JBM Janitorial, where she spent over a decade growing professionally—from performing daily recurring cleaning services to becoming a supervisor, trainer, recruiter, and eventually General Manager of Illinois operations.

Her years of hands-on experience taught her every level of the business: client relationships, team leadership, walkthroughs, quality control, operations, and contract management.

In January 2026, she took the next bold step and launched NJC Janitorial LLC—a company built on everything she has learned, with a vision to provide reliable, professional, and high-quality cleaning services across Illinois.
